Choosing an acoustic cabin
Plan the total cost, delivery route and acoustic performance before choosing your configuration.
What does an acoustic cabin cost in total?
Compare the delivered and installed cost, not only the cabin price. Ask for separate lines for the model and quantity, furniture, finishes, protective packing, transport, unloading, assembly and applicable import charges or taxes. Confirm who handles customs clearance and access permits. Stock availability and an urgent event deadline can affect the transport plan. A quote for one destination is not a universal freight price.
Will the cabin fit through the door?
External cabin dimensions are not packing dimensions. Before ordering, measure the narrowest clear door opening, corridor turns, stairs, lift doors and lift interior, and check the lift load limit. Ask whether delivery is assembled or in modules and request the largest packed piece dimensions and weight. For Tokyo, the listed external size is 105 × 110 × 220 cm. This alone does not confirm that it can pass through your route. Send measurements and route photos for review.
Rw, DnT,w and ISO 23351-1: what is the difference?
Rw describes weighted airborne sound reduction; DnT,w describes a standardised level difference measured between spaces. ISO 23351-1 measures speech level reduction of a complete enclosure, expressed as D_S,A. These values are not interchangeable. Ask for the standard, metric, tested model and configuration. Music, shouting and low-frequency sound need a separate suitability assessment; a speech rating is not a guarantee for every event. Additional treatment must not be assigned a tested dB improvement without supporting measurements.
What the available field report shows
Available report: ISO 16283-1 field measurement, dated 22 April 2025, evaluated using ISO 717-1. It is not an ISO 23351-1 speech-reduction certificate. Confirm the tested configuration matches your chosen model.
| ISO 16283-1 · 2025-04-22 | DnT,w | DnT,A |
|---|---|---|
| Meeting room → cabin | 36 dB | 34 dB |
| Cabin → meeting room | 38 dB | 35 dB |
These results describe the measured cabin and room arrangement. The report text does not identify the Tokyo model. They must not be presented as a Tokyo-specific rating or an ISO 23351-1 classification. The English report is a translation; the signed Turkish original is authoritative.
