Soundproof drum booth: price, dB and size
Q Pod Rhythm is our drum practice booth. It costs from €9,700 net in the base configuration. It isolates 55 dB (Rw) ±3 dB, stands on a floating floor and measures 280 × 220 × 220 cm. Delivery in Europe takes 2–4 weeks.
Below you find what that rating means for an acoustic kit in a flat or a house, where any cabin reaches its limits, and what to check before you order.

What does a drum booth cost?
Rhythm starts at €9,700. That price covers a new cabin with the floating floor, the dual turbo ventilation and the sealed cable port. Colours and options can change it. Delivery and installation depend on your city and access, so we quote them separately.
If you only play quieter instruments, a smaller cabin costs less. The table shows all three music models.
| Model | Made for | People | Sound insulation (Rw) | Outside size (W × D × H) | Price from |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Q Pod Beat | Vocals, podcast, voice-over, guitar, violin | 1 | 45–50 dB | 130 × 220 × 220 cm | €5,790 |
| Q Pod Harmony | Lessons, small production setups | 1–3 | 50–55 dB | 250 × 220 × 220 cm | €7,250 |

What 55 dB (Rw) ±3 dB means for drums
Rw is a single number from a lab test. It sums up how much a wall or cabin reduces sound across the range of speech and most instruments. The ±3 dB is the tolerance stated in our test reports.
For drums, that range covers snare, toms, cymbals and the attack of each hit. Those are cut by roughly the rated amount.
Low frequencies are harder. The kick drum and floor tom sit below the range that Rw weights most. Every free-standing cabin isolates less there than its Rw value suggests. Expect the kick to stay audible next door: quieter, but there.
The building matters too. Thin walls, a shared timber floor or an open window next to the cabin let sound around it. A lab value is the best case.
So be realistic. Rhythm makes acoustic practice at home or in a school far easier to live with. A drum kit inside will still be audible. If you play late at night in a flat, plan an e-kit for those hours.
Why the floating floor matters
Drums send sound out in two ways. Airborne sound is what you hear through the air. Impact sound is the kick pedal, the stool and your feet hitting the floor. Impact sound travels through the concrete or timber of the building, and walls do not stop it.
Rhythm stands on a vibration-absorbing floating floor. It decouples the kit from the building floor and takes out much of the thump before it reaches the structure. On light timber floors some low thump will still pass.
Best placement: ground floor or basement, on concrete, away from shared walls. Send us your floor type and we give you the cabin weight for your structural check.
Size, ventilation, power and delivery
- Outside 280 × 220 × 220 cm. Room for a drum kit, stool and microphones, or up to three people for a lesson or small rehearsal.
- Ceiling: the cabin is 220 cm tall. We confirm the free space you need above it for assembly.
- Ventilation: a high-flow dual turbo fan system. Drumming is physical work, and a closed room heats up fast without it.
- Power and cables: a sealed XLR and power port. You can run microphones to an interface outside with the door shut.
- Materials: fire classes to EN 13501-1 (MDF B-s2,d0; fabric and mineral wool A2-s1,d0).
- Delivery: 2–4 weeks in Europe. The cabin arrives in panels and our team assembles it. We check door widths, stairs and lift with you first.
- Warranty: 3 years on structure and electronics.
Drum booth FAQ
Will my neighbours still hear the drums?
Probably a little, mostly the kick drum. Rhythm cuts snare, cymbals and toms by roughly its 55 dB (Rw) ±3 dB rating. Bass and impact sound are harder to stop. The result depends on your floor, walls and where the cabin stands.
Can I put a drum booth in a rented flat?
Often yes, but check your lease and house rules first. Plan for the floor: the floating floor helps, a ground-floor or concrete floor helps more. We send dimensions and weight so you can show your landlord exactly what goes in.
What is included in the price?
From €9,700 you get a new Rhythm cabin with floating floor, dual turbo ventilation and the sealed XLR and power port. Finishes and options are priced in your quote. Delivery and installation are quoted per city.
Can I rent or lease the drum booth?
No. We sell new cabins only, direct from the factory. There is no rental or leasing.
Can I see test data?
Yes. Test reports for the sound insulation values are available on request. Ask for them with your quote.
