Why 35 dB and Class B are not on the same scale

ISO 23351-1 measures how much a complete booth reduces speech level, expressed as D_S,A, and sorts the result into classes. Rw, the value QAkustik quotes, is a weighted sound reduction index. The two numbers come from different methods, so a higher Rw does not mean a booth is quieter than one with a given ISO 23351-1 class.

QAkustik office pods provide 35 dB (Rw) ±3 dB sound insulation. Test reports are available; an on-site measurement from 22 April 2025 of a QAkustik cabin installed in a meeting room gave DnT,w 36 dB and 38 dB (DnT,A 34 dB and 35 dB) in the two directions. The buying guide shows the full result.
