Airports & train stations

Phone booths for airports, train stations and lounges

Announcements, rolling suitcases and crowds make a travel hub one of the loudest places to take a call. A row of booths gives travellers and staff a quiet spot between connections.

Challenges in travel hubs

Operators and lounge managers usually start with these questions.

1

Calls with constant background noise

The situation

Travellers want to take a call or join a meeting, but announcements and crowds drown out their voice.

How a pod helps

A closed booth keeps much of the hall noise out and the call in. Sound insulation is 35 dB (Rw) ±3 dB, test reports available.

2

Lounges and business areas

The situation

Lounge guests expect a place to work, and open seating gets noisy at peak times.

How a pod helps

One-person work pods with a desk let guests work for an hour in private, without extra rooms.

3

Staff and crew areas

The situation

Staff need a quiet spot for briefings or personal calls, but back-office space is tight.

How a pod helps

A two-person pod fits into a staff area and is ready in about 90 minutes, without building work.

4

Safety rules in public buildings

The situation

Everything in a terminal is checked against escape routes, fire load and access.

How a pod helps

Material classes under EN 13501-1 are documented with each unit. Read the fire safety guide and agree the position with your fire safety team.

Recommended models

For public areas, compact booths work best. Lounges and staff areas benefit from a pod with a desk.

Frequently asked questions

How many booths fit in a row?

As many as the wall allows. Q Pod Tokyo is 105 cm wide, so three booths need a little over 3 metres. Check the dimensions overview for all models.

Can the pods be installed at night?

Yes. Tell us your preferred installation window. One unit takes about 90 minutes and needs no building work.

Do the booths need a fixed power connection?

No. They plug into a normal wall socket. Plan the position near a socket so no cable crosses a walkway.
